About Us

Con Voce was formed in the autumn of 2007 in the County Borough of Merthyr Tydfil, Glamorgan, South Wales. UK.

The choir has some 20 members, Soprano, Contralto, Tenor and Bass and meets weekly at High Street Baptist Church in Merthyr Tydfil on Monday evenings.

The Choir provides its members with the opportunity to continue to develop and share their musical talents through participation in a small SATB group. The Choir’s prime objective is to promote, improve, develop and maintain public education in appreciation of the art of music by the presentation of public concerts of great choral music.11903786_629307943839471_3608347733108355009_n

Con Voce is a group of musicians, many of whom are music teachers or who have had many years of choral training and who share a passion in performing. It demands commitment and in return, gives immense pleasure to both audiences and singers.

CAP_ConVoce_004The Choir’s Musical Director, Mr Jonathan Gulliford, is ably supported at the piano by Darya Brill-Williams.

The choristers mainly hail from the County Borough of Merthyr Tydfil but the group has attracted members from Cynon Valley, Caerphilly and also Cardiff.
