Following a career in Nursing, Lynley graduated in 2002 from the University of Wales, Cardiff with B.A (Hons) in Welsh.

She has always enjoyed singing with various choirs and is thoroughly enjoying the variety of pieces in Con Voce’s repertoire.


Michele Daviesmichelle

Michele has always had a passion for singing and has performed many times in local amateur dramatic productions with “The Colstars”.

Originally Michele hails from Merthyr Tydfil but now she lives in Aberdare and is Managing Director of her own business.



catrinCatrin Hendy

In 1995 Catrin graduated from the University of Wales, Swansea with B.A (Hons) in Welsh and is currently a Welsh Teacher in Rhondda Cynon Taff.

She has been singing for many years with numerous choirs including frequent solo items. Some of the highlights of her career include singing with such artists as Bryn Terfel and Rebecca Evans.

Catrin is currently the Choir’s Treasurer.



Helen Sweet – Joneshelen

Helen graduated with B.A (Hons) in History from Swansea University.She has been involved in a number of local choirs including Cyfarthfa Girls Choir, St David’s Church Choir and Cantorion Cyfarthfa.

Helen is currently a History Teacher in a Cardiff school.








Fiona Silverthorn

Fiona graduated from the University of Bangor in 2002 with a degree in Theology. She currently works for Torfaen Council as a Research and Development Officer.

Fiona has sung in various choirs at school, university and church and was previously a member of the Cwmbran Baroque Singers.
